How to measure for a hoodie

The easiest way: measure a hoodie you already own. Lay a hoodie that fits the way you like flat on a table, smooth it out and measure two things:

• Chest: straight across from one armpit seam to the other, then double it. Compare that number with the chest row above. This is the measurement that decides the fit.
• Body length: from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.

Measuring your body instead? Wrap a soft tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping it level and not tight. Your body measurement will be smaller than the garment chest, and that gap is the room that makes the oversized fit.

How should a hoodie fit?
